It’s been established that Gotham, the fictional city "The Batman" is set in, is extremely corrupt. The police commissioner, mayor, and district attorney are all in Falcone’s pocket. He even acknowledges this as he’s put in cuffs, saying to Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), “I’ll see you when I walk.”

The Iron Front was the insignia of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP), established in the late 1800s as a Marxist party of Germany. It gained popularity in response to the rise of the Nazi party in early 1930s Germany, however as this was the only opposing party to said Nazis, they were subsequently voted out and disbanded by force. The SPD (German Abbreviation: Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands) currently holds a centrist left political position.

Catlin Gabel Theatre will produce a live performance of 'A Chorus Line'!

This spring, Catlin Gabel’s very own theater group, which comprises a cast of 31 actors, will be producing “A Chorus Line,” a 1975 musical with music by Marvin Hamlisch lyrics by Edward Kleban. The exhilarating show is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theater. The musical is centered on seventeen Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line. “A Chorus Line” provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer, and describes the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers. But only a select few can make the final cut.

‘Glow Up’ culture and its effect on teenagers

If you have TikTok, then you've most likely seen Glow Up or thirst traps videos - varying from trends such as "2 weeks off of school" or even "I am doechii with two eyes.” Of course, occasionally, one can find wholesome trends more about emotional 'Glow Ups'. An example is this caption from a TikTok, "You do not need weight loss for a Glow Up, just a lot of self-love." (@lilphizzle) In this video, she showed her emotional Glow Up, not her physical one, where these problems begin.

Whether it was an isolated act of aggression or an example of systemic hate, the event revealed the ugly truth of racism at CGS, and more broadly, the history of racism and exclusion at private schools.
